Forensic Restoration

Forensic restoration is the comprehensive response and remediation to situations and structures that are contaminated or suspected to be contaminated with biohazardous materials.
The objective of forensic restoration is to return situations and structures to pre-event conditions.

Forensic restoration includes, but is not limited to, the remediation of situations involving:

• Crime and trauma scenes,
• Unattended deaths,
• Unsanitary dwellings and conditions,
• Hoarding,
• Bioterrorism,
• Human and biological 

In terms of accident cleanup or trauma scene remediation, the involvement of a professional cleaning service is critical. Whether it is a traffic accident, an accidental death, extremely bad injury with large blood loss, or an industrial accident, the situation will usually involve biohazards that require expert biohazard attention. The scene will need to be cleaned and restored to its original condition as quickly as possible to ease the minds of everyone involved.

The old saying that accidents happen is unfortunately true. Often when an accident occurs at work it can result in extensive damages, personal injury and accidental death – and may be under investigation by a provincial regulator. We have the experience and professionalism to work with involved parties. We use universal precautions while dealing with blood, bodily fluids and tissue, the proper PPE, registered disinfectants and follow appropriate guidelines.

In the wake of an accidental death, most people simply are not prepared for the challenge of accident scene cleanup. There are many types of Hoarders, some who have OCD and buy items of all sorts continuously, some never throw away their garbage and others hoard animals. Any of these can present certain dangers and challenges. Some clean-up projects are forced by authorities because the home is unsafe to inhabit due to mass volumes of debris, mold growth, fire hazards, feces, urine, excessive animals and insect infestation to name a few. 

Some families inherit these homes after a loved one has passed away. Others are the hoarders themselves realizing they need help. We will work with the family, property owner, or authorities to clear out the property to make it safe again. These projects typically need the use of roll off dumpsters to discard the trash, the use of PPE to protect workers from the indoor environment, HEPA filtered air scrubbers to clean the air of all airborne particulates, manpower, industrial strength cleaners, odor counteractants, registered disinfectants and industrial cleaning supplies. We work with interested parties to separate all valuables, heirloom pieces and sentimental items to turn back over to the family.

Industrial Hazmat staff and crew are sensitive to these issues and are trained to act accordingly. We are  prepared to liaison with authorities and family members as each unique situation warrants.
